Furnished with Tourism classified 3 STARS ***, La Chouette et le Gabian is a LITTLE HOME in the heart of Marseille, on the hillside of the "Bonne Mère", in Endoume, a very "village" district, far from noises of the city, but close to all the emblematic places of Marseille without having to use the car.
T2 of 41m² + TERRACE facing south-west, the apartment in an old house was renovated in 2011. It is a ground floor (therefore accessible to people with reduced mobility) whose terrace (15 m²) is on level +1 with a plunging view of lush rear gardens.
We descend to the sea on foot, passing through Valmer Park with its magnificent views of the Mediterranean and the Frioul Islands. We go up to Notre Dame by adorable alleys, white, flowery, sometimes very narrow ... here and there a few steps and then, the magnificent view of the City, at the foot of the Notre-Dame Basilica.
We take the bus 15 m from the apartment and in less than 1/4 of an hour, we are at the Vieux Port, at La Joliette, in the city center, at Le Panier .... there is no need for the car to fully enjoy Marseille, its beaches, its creeks, its sky, its art of living, its History ...
And come home, in the sun or in the shade of a parasol, we gladly spend hours on the terrace, lulled by the "laughs" of the gabians (the local gulls), the song of the cicadas ... under the gaze benevolent of my little terracotta owl!
You can also eat there in a very convivial way (4 outdoor chairs + indoor chairs), under the stars as at noon!
Sheets and linen for hire (€ 15 per bed and per stay), cleaning on request (€ 40).
A simple but comfortable apartment, not far from the beaches, parks (Parc Borély), creeks all easily accessible by public transport (bus stop 50 m). Parking on the street (not private). The sea is a quarter of an hour on foot, the Old Port 20 minutes, but you can prefer the bus (Old Port: 15 min, the creeks: 45 min).
