Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Convenient location for overnight stop before channel crossing. Good inexpensive restaurants in nearby villages. Nice touch leaving water bowl and treat for dog. Relatively good value and quality. Nature reserve good spot to walk dogs.

Negative: Bunk beds not made up on arrival- we had to do this ourselves. Only two towels (booking for four adults). A lot of police around -suspicion of boat illegal crossings from here. Quite cramped with limited kitchen equipment/minimal toiletries (one shower gel and no soap for 4 people).

Summary: Convenient quiet and compact studio in handy location for Calais.
