Summary: Marseille in September is hot and sunny (realistically late 20's /early 30 degrees C in afternoon), the aircon in the studio was a godsend, thank you. We are a mature couple with bad backs from years of sport so used to a large bed with firm matress and good pillows, so the futon was ok for the week but we would have struggled for longer. The garden area was a lovely bonus for us. Communication with the owner Max and his son was fast and speedy, but only in French, thank goodness for Google translate. Great location of the studio, near shops/supermarkets, Irish and French pubs (O'Grady's, Le Kilt and the Black Stone) with food as well as drink. Easy walking to beach and Borely Park as well as to the Velodrome for the rugby (10 mins) and the metro to go have a look at the Old Port area and take the little tourist train up to Notre Dame Cathedral which is well worth a visit with great views over the city. Thank you again Max and Romain, for making our first stay in Marseille so enjoyable Reagrds and Best wishes. Gary and Audrey.
