Just 20 minutes north of Aix en Provence, at the foot of the Luberon, the property is located in the village of Rognes. Enjoy all that the region has to offer: the spectacular natural setting, culture (Festivals in Aix, La Roque d'Anthéron and Avignon), sports (tennis, golf, bicycling) and gastronomy (Wine producers and excellent restaurants nearby). The house is located on 1 hectare (2 acres) surrounded by fields, vineyards, and pine forests, just 2 km from the village.
The house was completely renovated in 2017 blending old and new to ensure the utmost comfort while retaining its traditional charm. Situated on a well-maintained property, partly prairie and partly terraces under pines, the house is very open to the surrounding exterior. If you like cooking, you'll love the gourmet kitchen with incredible light from three exposures and its direct access to the shaded terrasse for your breakfasts with local products and long summer candlelight dinners. The dining room has a double height ceiling and southern exposure with a wall of windows to take advantage of the views of the garden and the pool. 10 guests can fit comfortably at the generous table. The adjacent living room has a working open fireplace to enjoy on a chilly night. Two bedrooms are found on the ground floor. The master bedroom (22 m2 / 236 sq ft) has a queen bed, its own bathroom with an Italian shower, separate toilet, a walk-in closet, many windows, and French doors leading to the terrace with a wonderful view of the garden and pool. On the other side of the ground floor, a cozy guest bedroom (12 m2 / 129 sq ft) has a double bed, generous closet and comfortable bathroom with its own toilet and an Italian shower. This room has views of the garden to the east. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms (12 m2 / 129 sq ft) with double height ceilings, built in closets, many windows with views on the garden and pool. These bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub and private toilet. All bedrooms have wooden shutters for a good night's sleep and to keep the rooms cool during the hot midday sun.
You'll love spending afternoons by the 12m x 5m pool (1.4m deep) with its built in ledge for reading or enjoying a glass of wine. A shaded terrace measuring 35m2 or 350 square feet is perfect for relaxing between swims. The landscaped garden is filled with mature pines and old oaks, providing plenty of shade for those not working on their tan. At night the pool and landscape lights provide a romantic atmosphere to continue enjoying your day. There is ample parking for 3-4 cars.
Full cleaning provided before and after your stay. Bed linens are provided and beds are made before your arrival. Bath and pool towels are provided. The garden and pool are maintained by professionals weekly.
