Built in 15th century, refurbished/modified in 18th century, then sold off during the French Revolution, the Château of Lachau is a highlight of this charming little village. In Les Baronnies Provençales Regional Nature park, between the Drôme, Hautes-Alpes and Alpes de Haute Provence departments, La Maison de Jeanne is very well located for exploring the region. Two interesting buildings nearby: Romanesque church of Notre-Dame de Calma, Le Riable tower (hilltop castle keep). Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in the Méouge valley. Be sure to explore the Méouge gorges, a superb unspoilt setting with waterholes, waterfalls, fine sand and pebbles, Romanesque bridges. Just relax or go swimming, walking or kayaking. Lots of hiking trails and mountain bike routes. Votive festival around 15th August. Spa town of Montbrun-les-Bains 25km.
La Maison de Jeanne is on 1st floor of a château comprising other properties. Entrance hall, living room with lounge and kitchen areas. 2 bedrooms (double bed) (double bed, en-suite shower room, WC). Ground level: small enclosed garden reserved for occupants of gîte.
